APEPDCL to turn more consumer-centric

Visakhapatnam: After taking charge as the youngest CMD of APEPDCL here on Tuesday, Pudhvi Tej Immadi said he will make efforts to convert it into more consumer-centric and one of the best DISCOMs in the country. He had played a pivotal role in purchase of cost effective power from the open market during his tenure as Joint Managing Director of APTRANSCO and member-convener of Andhra Pradesh Power Coordination Committee.
With the strong commitment and expertise of senior engineers and staff of the APEPDCL, he said the DISCOM will put constant efforts to meet the targets of the government and sought the cooperation of the employee community and associations for his future endeavours.
Prudhvi Tej said each and every employee will be involved as part of efforts to deliver quality services to the consumers. He also told officials to focus on reduction of Distribution Transformer (DTR) failures, repair costs and operational and maintenance (O&M) expenditure, usage of global technology for bringing substation automation, eradicating theft of power and reducing losses further, usage of technology and artificial intelligence for bringing preventive maintenance techniques practices and ensuring optimum utilisation of manpower.
